FS International has joined ITALCAM, the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of promoting the internationalisation of the FS Group in Brazil, which is considered as
a strategic country thanks to the vast opportunities offered by its railway industry.

With one of the largest infrastructure networks in the world (extending some 30,000 kilometres) and a plan for major development, the Brazilian market presents an extremely wide and diversified project portfolio especially in the field of concessions, privatisations and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

In view of the significant growth prospects of the railway sector FS International intends to strengthen its commercial network in the country and consolidate its local presence with the support of ITALCAM.

The purpose is to export also to Latin America the broad experience and multidisciplinary excellence of the FS Group, which has been ensuring integrated mobility services based on quality, sustainability and innovation for over 180 years.

“We are confident that the fruitful collaboration with ITALCAM will help FS International expand its business in Brazil,” remarked Javier Casañas, Head of LATAM region at FS International, “moreover the ongoing partnership between FS International and one of the main Brazilian industrial groups, operating in both the public and private logistics and transport sectors, proves the local interest in the Italian know-how which today is internationally recognised for the high standards of competence and reliability in the implementation and management of subway and railway lines.”

The next step will be participating in the main tenders announced in the country, where FS International is competing for the very first time.
